Elberadweg Dessau - Bad Schandau

Welcome to Dessau! You will pass on your tour a lot of worth seeing things like the Bauhaus-art of Dessau, the garden area of Wörlitz, Lutherstadt Wittenberg which is famous as the cradle of reformation, Meißen with its famous porcelain and the metropolis Dresden with its castles and churches. Your tour ends at Bad Schandau where you have an amazing view over the Elbsandsteingebirge.

Elberadweg Dessau - Bad Schandau

Day 1: Individual arrival at Bad Schandau
Explore Bad Schandau which is the heart of the Saxon Switzerland. Visit the fort Königstein and the bastion!

Day 2: Bad Schandau – Dresden (about 43 km)
You cycle through the wonderful Elbsandsteingebirge and reach Schloss Pillnitz. Along the saxon wine street you cycle to Dresden which is your today’s destination. Discover the worth seeing things like the Zwinger, the Frauenkirche, the Semperoper and much more.

Day 3: Dresden – Meißen (about 40 km)
First, you cycle to the Karl-May-city Radebeul. Then you pass vineyards and reach your today’s destination Meißen. The 1000-year-old city is famous for its porcelain.

Day 4: Meißen – Riesa (about 28 km)
You cycle through a varied landscape. Make a break at Diesbar-Seußlitz to try the wine. Your today’s destination is Riesa where you should visit the benedictine monastery from the 12th century.

Day 5: Riesa – Torgau (about 48 km)
You cycle through Mühlenberg and Belgern to Torgau which is your today’s destination. Many ferries at this lap give you the possibility to cycle on both shores of the Elbe. Be impressed by the buildings from the renaissance and Schloss Hartenfels in Torgau.

Day 6: Torgau – Lutherstadt Wittenberg (about 65 km)
Through a unique landscape you cycle pass Dommitzsch, Prettin and Pretzsch. Your today’s destination is Lutherstadt Wittenberg which is famous as the cradle of reformation in Germany.

Day 7: Lutherstadt Wittenberg – Dessau (about 45 km)
At Coswig you have to take the ferry to get on the other shore. After a few kilometres you reach the garden area Dessau-Wörlitz. Your today’s destination and end of your tour is Dessau. Individual departure or extension.
